He was the son of a coal-miner and himself started working in coal-mines as a 14 year-old. He was trialled by Nottinghamshire as a 19 year-old and offered a meagre contract equivalent to what he earned working in mines. Nonetheless he would have agreed to anything to escape from the mine. He made his Test Debut 3 years later and went onto become one of the most feared fast bowlers ever injuring several First Class players eventually leading to their retirement. He was the main weapon in what the English called as 'The Leg Theory'. Identify this fast bowler.
